Brief is a glance for Garmin watches. Every morning an AI writes a short brief from your calendar, the weather where you are, your body metrics, the news you care about and the notes you left yourself. One line in the glance, a few more in the app behind it. Nothing to scroll through, nothing to tap.
How it works
- Install the watch app. Brief is a Connect IQ app. Add its glance to your glance loop and it shows a pairing code.
- Pair your watch. Open the companion app on your phone, sign in and type the code from the watch.
- Connect your sources. Google Calendar, your location for weather, the news feeds and topics you care about, a note to yourself. The next brief is ready the following morning at 05:30 your time.
What goes into a brief
- Calendar: today's events, the first one with its time. On Pro, all your calendars, not only the primary one.
- Weather: the forecast for your location, including when the rain comes and goes.
- Body: body battery and recovery time your watch reports, mentioned only when they are unusual.
- News: on Pro, up to two lines summarised from the feeds and topics you picked. Never a list of headlines.
- Notes: anything you want to be reminded of, woven in when it matters that day.
- Tomorrow: on Pro, from the evening on the brief looks at the next day instead.

Privacy
Your brief and your calendar access token are encrypted at rest, and the raw calendar data is read once each morning and never stored. The brief itself is replaced every day. Details in the privacy policy.
Questions
- Does it need my phone?
- Yes. The watch has no internet of its own; it fetches the brief through the Garmin Connect app on your phone, like every Connect IQ app that goes online.
- Which sources are supported?
- Google Calendar, weather (Open-Meteo), your watch's body metrics, RSS and Atom news feeds, and your own notes. More sources will follow; Pro subscribers get them first.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, from the account page. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then the account falls back to Free. Your data stays until you delete the account.
- Is Brief affiliated with Garmin?
- No. Brief is an independent app for Garmin watches. Garmin and Connect IQ are trademarks of Garmin Ltd. or its subsidiaries.
